Today marks an important date for Ross & Ann, we moved to Ottawa and began living together. Ann quit her job at Messier-Dowty in Peterborough to start a new job at Canadian Marconi, and Ross moved his custom software business from Aurora to Ottawa. We drove to Ottawa in Ann's parent's old Cierra and along the way, the car flipped over 200,000 KM. That was the final big trip for the Cierra, it never left Ottawa again. By the end of the year we had purchased a second car - the Honda Accord, which we still have. The day after we moved in to the townhouse was the start of the Great Ice-Storm. We were not able to get a second phone line for two months since Bell was so busy fixing damaged lines. The townhouse that we rented was only $738/month. It was quite spacious with three bedrooms (one for an office), two bathrooms, a big living room and an unfinished basement. Another notable event was the addition of Amplitude to our family. He was so small when we got him, he fit in a box of Timbits. Here are some photos from 1998, dug up from the vault.
