so we've made a collage of some
rare photos that feature the two of us. |

We spent much of the summer away at places like Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, attended half a dozen weddings, and enjoyed some weekends at the cottage. However, with just one weekend a month at home, and some generous help from the Darlingtons, we were able to keep things from falling apart at home. We even managed to renovate our largest flower garden, with documentation. Here are our garden photos, showin*g the transitions. Bonus: Ross'

We hope you'll join us for a trip down memory lane. Ann has diligently scanned in dozens of photos from our years at Queen's University (1992-1997). We've included a journal of sorts, and hope that our friends and acquaintances from Queen's will help us grow this little project with more photos and tales from that time. For this blast from the past, click here. |

On Thursday, February 6 we will be flying out of Ottawa to Hawaii. Our first stop is Oahu to attend Paul and Candy's wedding. The photos from their bridal shower are already available. After a few days we'll fly to Kauai and stay in a rainforest near the Waimea Canyon, dubbed the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific'. Besides hiking to 1000 foot waterfalls, we'll sail along the Na Pali coast, and maybe fly over the island by helicopter. After a few days, it's on to Maui, where we'll go up Haleakala (a Volcano), spend a day sailing and snorkeling, and go spelunking, among other adventures. Then, we'll fly on to Hawaii -the Big Island itself - for five days. We'll tour the island, go visit the telescopes on top of Mauna Kea (the world's tallest mountain), and spend a few days exploring Kilauea, an active volcano in Volcanoes National Park. On the final day, it's back to Oahu for a sunset dinner cruise before returning to Ottawa on the 23rd. A few days later, we hope to start posting our photos and notes as with previous trips. Be sure to return and visit by the end of February! |
