Happy New Year!

Christmas was a whirlwind week in Aurora and Bolton, with side trips to see almost all of our friends and family in the GTA and Collingwood. If we saw you over the holidays, be sure to check out our Christmas photo album.

Last year was a busy one, evidenced by our first annual Christmas letter. This year is shaping up to be even busier. At the moment, we're preparing for our 18-day February trip to Hawaii, to attend Paul and Candy's wedding. Our itinerary includes visits to four of the islands: Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island. To ensure we've got enough digital camera memory, the Darlingtons gave us an extra 128MB SmartMedia card, bringing our total to over 450MB. That's enough to take almost a 1,100 high-res or 6,000 low-res photographs!

Weddings seem to be one of the themes of this upcoming year. Besides the Hawaii trip, we're headed to Regina for a week in July where we'll attend Bobby-Jo and Greg's wedding. We also have a few more weddings to attend in Ottawa and the GTA.

Aside from travelling for weddings, there will be the usual trips to the cottage during long weekends in the summer. We may also return to Nova Scotia to visit Cape Breton and Jen and Chris Carey, who moved to Halifax recently.

This site has evolved significantly since it's inception in March 2001, just after we bought the house in Carp. Since then, it's been redesigned a dozen times. It's managed by some custom back-end software that we've developed, which we are currently re-writing to make it usable by anyone. Soon, we'll make it available for beta-testing, and we hope you'll help us out by building your own digital photo collection! Our future plans include adding a Retro section to the PhotoSite, which will feature scanned film photos that were taken before we had a digital camera. Any comments and suggestions about the site are always welcome.
